(REUTERS) - The United States plans to sell Taiwan US$1.42 billion in
arms, the first such sale under the administration of Donald Trump and a
move sure to anger China, whose help the president has been seeking to
rein in North Korea.

State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert told reporters the
administration had told Congress of the seven proposed sales on Thursday
(June 29).
国务院发言人希瑟.诺尔特各路记者表示，政府已于6月29日星期四将这七项被提议的军售告知国会。
“It’s now valued about $1.42 billion,” she said.
诺尔特表示：“这笔军售价值约14.2亿美元。”
The State Department said the package included technical support for
early warning radar, high-speed anti-radiation missiles, torpedoes and
missile components.
（美国）国务院称，武器包括早期警告雷达技术指导、高速反雷达导弹、鱼雷、和导弹零件。
Nauert said the sales showed US “support for Taiwan’s ability to
maintain a sufficient self-defence capability,” but there was no change
to the United States’ long-standing “one China” policy.
诺尔特指出，此次军售表明美国“支持台湾保持足够的自卫能力，”但是美国长期的“一个中国”政策没有改变。
The sale, which requires congressional approval, would be the first to
Taiwan under Trump and the first since a US$1.83 billion sale that
former President Barack Obama announced in December 2015, to China’s
dismay.
军售需要获得国会批准，这将是特朗普首次对台军售，同时也是前总统巴拉克.奥巴马于2015年12月宣布对台出售价值18.3亿美元武器后首次军售，必使中国大失所望。
The US’ decision to go ahead with the sale of a $1.4 billion arms
package to Taiwan threatens to undermine US-Chinese relations, China’s
ambassador to Washington said.
中国驻华盛顿大使表示，美国对台出售价值14亿美元的武器之决定有损中美关系。
Speaking to reporters at an embassy reception in DC Thursday, Ambassador
Cui Tiankai said recent US moves eroded the trust built when US
President Donald Trump met Chinese President Xi Jinping in Florida in
April.
崔天凯大使星期四在华盛顿于使馆招待会上向各路记者表示，美国近期的举动损坏了唐纳德.特朗普总统于四月份在佛罗里达与习近平主席建立的信任。
