《生命时报》报道，德国数据统计互联网公司的一项新调查发现，中国人平均每天花在智能手机上的时间为3小时，位居全球第二。

Brazilians spend the longest time on their phones, racking up an average of some 5 hours. Other countries on the ranking list, including the US, Canada and the UK, see people spending over 2 hours on their smartphones.

巴西人花在智能手机上的时间最长，平均时间为5小时。紧随其后的是美国、加拿大、英国，人们使用智能手机的时间为2小时。

The analysis suggests more sophisticated functions on smartphones are starting to push the numbers even higher.

分析显示，智能手机上更多的复杂功能正在将这个数据推向新高。

It’s also being suggested Chinese people are being lured to their smartphones even more due to the boom of the internet culture in recent years, as well as a lack of other leisure activities.

数据还显示，中国人沉迷于智能手机更多的是由于近年来互联网文化的兴起，以及其他娱乐活动的匮乏。

The report is warning that an over-indulgence on smartphones could have many negative effects, including sleep patterns, work productivity and personal safety while walking or driving with their smartphones.

该报告警告说，过度沉迷于智能手机可能会产生许多负面影响，包括睡眠模式、工作效率等，而走路或者开车时使用智能手机还会有人身安全隐患。

Analysis also warns that excessive use of smartphones by parents may generate similar habits among their children in later years.
