Background and participation
Public procurement material for China Southern’s e-commerce translation project, reference YXW2019030, covers translation, native-language review, web extraction, image handling and app files. SENIOR TRANS participated in related language services. The source is a bidder’s quotation, not evidence of a contract award to SENIOR TRANS or of its contract value.
The language challenge
Pages, interface messages and service information are interconnected. Consistent naming must be balanced with link behaviour, button length and frequent updates, so that language versions do not drift apart.
An approach shaped by the content
The following is an approach for comparable projects, provided to help scope a brief. It is not a record of this engagement’s internal delivery process.
Map content and files
Separate page copy, UI strings and text within images. Agree source files, language versions, update batches and fields that must remain unchanged.
Set terminology and tone
Align brand, travel-service and interface terminology. Arrange market-specific language review and identify who will confirm the underlying business rules.
Check the publishable version
Check display, wrapping, links and character encoding in the web or app context. Track revisions so that superseded copy does not return in a later release.
What the public record establishes
The public attachment describes the service components, but does not establish the final languages launched, delivery volume or acceptance outcome. Bid prices are not presented as contract values, and platform growth is not attributed to translation.
